Tulip Internship

The Union Human Resource Development (HRD) on the 4th of June 2020 launched The Urban Learning Internship Programme (TULIP). TULIP aims to provide internship opportunities to thousands of graduates and engineers who have freshly gotten out of college and are looking out for opportunities. 

TULIP was jointly launched by HRD minister Dr. Ramesh Nishank along with the Housing and Urban Affairs minister Hardeep Singh Puri and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). 

What is TULIP?

Tulip is a program aimed to provide internship opportunities across Urban Local Bodies and smart cities all across the nation. Students, under this program, will get to work for 100 smart cities under the ministry of Housing and Urban Development. 

Eligibility for the scheme

In order to be eligible for the Tulip program, the applicant should be a citizen of India and should be a graduate from an undergrad program. The applicant should apply for the scheme within 18 months from graduating. The scheme is open to courses and streams as prescribed by the ULBs and Smart cities in their requirements. Applicants who are graduates either from AICTE affiliated or non-AICTE colleges can apply. 

Stipends 

Stipends for the internship solely depend on the scope of work assigned to you. any stipend or allowance provided will be mentioned in the perks and allowances section of the internship offer posted on the ULB or the smart city.

Internship programs all over the world are scarce. Freshly graduates are increasingly finding it difficult to bag a job for themselves. TULIP happens to be a hope in such COVID-stricken days for youngsters all around the nation.
