Aatmanirbhar Skilled Employee Employer Mapping

The dream of a self-reliant India, in other words, “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” which has been ideated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a post COVID era, has started out by announcing an Aatmanirbhar package, plan and strategies for implementation throughout the country economic growth and also wholesome development of its nationals.

ASEEM is one such endeavour rolled out to create sustainable livelihood opportunities, from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, developed and managed by a public-private collaboration between National Skill Development Corporation and an IT platform company named ‘Betterplace’.

Aim

  • To cater to the employment needs of skilled workers including migrant labourers in the country.
  • To provide a bridge between the industry and the workers seeking employees and employment respectively.
  • To provide an AI-based platform etching out details through data analytics, trends on industry needs, availability of skilled workers, hiring in all the districts.
  • To encourage vocational skill education in the country.

Details of ASEEM

The ASEEM platform will work like a human resources portal which will not only accumulate data on skilled employable workers all over the country but also include workforce from various State and Central Government Yojanas like Garib Kalyan Rojgar Yojana, PMKVY, etc. The migrant workers who have returned to the country as a part of the Vande Bharat Mission have already been included in the portal. The plan is to make the entire program work through a user-friendly application. It will act as an aggregator of jobs and employable skilled workers. The Employer Portal helps in hiring overview and employee selection, the Dashboard displays the data analytics, trends and The Candidate Application helps an employable candidate to apply for jobs, integrated by the portal through the AI-based interface of the application.

Conclusion

Since the launch of the initiative, 14,000 jobs have already been offered and 2718 number of employees had the opportunity to join their respective jobs. The present-day situation of COVID 19 has called for intensive plans and strategies to tide over the economic crisis. It is pertinent to mention that a Government-led initiative of providing employment is essential to build the trust of its nationals and to boost the economy.
